Obituary

Bernard Michael Frisbie, 81, affectionately known as Mike, passed away on February 4, 2025, at the Robert Packer Hospital.  Born on July 5, 1943, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Lavern and Virginia Frisbie. Mike married Ruth Frisbie in 2010 in Las Vegas Nevada. Bernard was a charismatic, loving, and reliable figure whose legacy will continue to resonate through the lives of those he touched. His radiant smile, warm heart, and unmatched ability to light up any room with his presence made him a pillar of strength and support in his family and community.

Bernard was a dedicated custodian for the Owego School District, a role that exemplified his supportive nature. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family. Yet, it was his personal life that truly defined him. A passionate supporter of the Boston Red Sox, Bernard enjoyed the thrill of the game. He also loved spending time in casinos, where his charismatic charm often seemed to tip the odds in his favor. Above all, Bernard's world revolved around his family, particularly his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and satisfaction.

Bernard is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Frisbie at home, his adoring children: Pam & Irving Sinsabaugh of Waverly, NY, Debbie Frisbie of Waverly, NY, and Michael Frisbie of Waverly NY. His siblings: Grant & Nancy Frisbie, Gary & Sharon Frisbie, Wayne Frisbie, Lucretia Lane, Chuck & Dorothy Mayo, and Kenny & Lisa Mayo. 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Lavern and Virginia Frisbie, and his brother Robert Frisbie.
