Bonny Sue Tarntino, 66, of Spencer, New York, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2026, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania, surrounded by the love of a family she cherished beyond measure. Born on July 25, 1960, Bonny Sue Stoudt lived a life centered on love, quiet strength, and the everyday moments that become a family’s most treasured memories.

Bonny loved with her whole heart. She was gentle, steady, and strong in the quiet way that made others feel safe. Her kindness was never loud, but it was constant and lasting. Her smile, her listening ear, and her open arms made people feel seen, comforted, and deeply loved. She had a gift for finding joy in life’s simple pleasures: watching hummingbirds, admiring the beauty of horses, delighting in the sparkle of Christmas, enjoying a NASCAR race on television, spending a quiet evening coloring on her tablet, exploring her fascination with Native American culture, and sharing the companionship of her beloved animals, Taz and Speedy.

She treasured the beautiful rhythm of ordinary life. Christmas with family, weekend rides in the side-by-side, drifting down the river at Lighthouse Landing, and laughter shared over a game of euchre were among the moments she held close. Those were the days that meant the most to her, made unforgettable by the people she loved. Bonny’s life was a reminder that love is often found in the smallest gestures, in shared smiles, and in simply being present for one another.

Her family was the center of her world and her proudest accomplishment. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her indescribable pride. She found deep happiness in watching her family grow, celebrating each new life and every milestone, and loving without condition. That devotion, given so freely and so fully, is the legacy she leaves behind.

Bonny is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Tarntino; her children, John Johnston, Robin Johnston, and Stacey Craft; and her stepchildren, Mary Wilson, Christy Johnston-Jeffords, Heather Gleason-Johnston, Julie Sibley, Dustin Tarntino, and Mark Tarntino Jr. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Sue Johnston, and her sons-in-law, Mike Smith, Randie Craft, Todd Wilson, and John Jeffords. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Kayla Johnston, John Johnston III, Derrick Johnston, Michael Smith, Landon Smith, Donavin Craft, Daphney Craft, Ashllea Craft, Marckus Craft, Owen Tarntino, Mia Reeves, Skylar Cuykendall, Josh Rockwell, Rieleigh Reed, Tyler Gross, Jonathan Jeffords, Christopher Ball, Christina Jeffords, Angel Saylor, Krista Karpensky, Shawn Sharp, and Shane Sharp. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Stoudt; her dear friends, Lori Callahan, Lynn Shay and Caitlyn Reeves; her sister-in-law, Lora Gilbert; and her brother-in-law, Richard Tarntino.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Stoudt; her mother, Marlene Beeman; her brother, Randy Stoudt; her sister, Maryann Glenn; her brother-in-law, Fred Johnston; and her sister-in-law, Maryann Johnston.

Bonny will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely remains in the hearts of those she held close. As she wished, no formal services will be held, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
