Brenda Bowes, age 64, of Gillett passed away at home on May 9, 2026 after a courageous battle with ALS. She was surrounded by the love of her family and those who cherished her most.
Brenda was born in Elmira, a daughter to the late Charles and Alice Boynton. Brenda is predeceased by her brother Karl Boynton, nephew Michael Boynton, and niece Clara Kelly.
Brenda is survived by her true love Merle Eiffert. Children Kathy and Bryon Robinson, Kim and Michael Harris, Gareth and Christina Bowes, Tom Eiffert, and Rachel and Gabi Derr. Grandchildren Nathan (Paige) Bachert, Cammy Shaffer, Dominick Boynton, Eowyn Robinson, Lucian McCartney, Adrian McCartney, Ember Bowes, Sameera Sheelam, Ophelia Derr,and Dragen Bowes. Great grandson Rylan Bachert. Siblings Karen and Dan Talada, Vickie and Richard Jackson, Aaron and Lisa Boynton, and Ken Boynton. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Brenda was a woman whose kindness strength and generosity touched countless lives. She had a heart that was always open to others never hesitating to help someone in need or offer comfort, laughter, and love. Her warmth made people feel welcome and her presence brought light wherever she went.
Above all else, Brenda loved her family deeply. She treasured every moment spent with her one true love and partner in life Merle, along with the time she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. The memories she created with them will be carried forward forever.
Brenda was a longtime employee of Able 2 and held a special place in her heart for her clients, coworkers, and friends.
Though ALS took so much from her physically it never took her spirit her love or the impact she made on the people around her. Brenda faced the cruelty of this disease with courage and grace that inspired everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 16 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at The North Loop Pavilion 710 Ives Run Ln Tioga PA 16946 Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance share stories enjoy music and nature and celebrate a life filled with love.
