Carl F. Simons, a lifelong resident of Owego passed away September 29, 2011 at the Senica View Nursing Facility, Montour Falls NY. Carl was born on January 7, 1936 a son of the late Charles and Thelma (Bird) Simons.
After graduating from Owego Free Academy in 1954 Carl served is country in the US Army. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Leitheiser.
Carl is survived by a sister: Caroline Halstead and special friend Lloyd Harmon. Brother: Thomas (Ann) Simons. Niece: Robin Simons. Nephews: Steven (Peggy) Givens and daughter Kaitlin; David Givens and fiancé Megan Pearce and his children Nikki, Carol Leigh, Sierra; Jonathan (Bobbi) Kelafant and their children Elizabeth and Gerritt.

A memorial service and celebration of Carl's life will be announced at a later date to be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Owego, NY with Fr. Geoffrey Doolittle Celebrant. Carl's remains will be inurned at St. Paul's Church immediately after the service.
