Cathleen (Cathy) L. Teeter passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, with her family by her side, Monday April 17, 2017 after a prolonged illness.
Born January 29, 1959, in Waverly, NY, Cathy was the daughter of James Jr and Lenora Perry Carnrike. She resided in Waverly her entire life. She graduated from Waverly High School, Class of 1977.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, her beloved "adoptive mother" Mae Dennis, father-in-law Tom Teeter, brother-in-law Jim Spears and sister-in-law Carol Seeley.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband William, their daughter Cassandra (Richard) Elinskas of Utica, N.Y.; her two grandchildren Ricky and Lily Elinskas, who were the light of her life; her mother-in-law Audrey (Tom) Teeter; her siblings, Jim Carnrike III of Scranton, P.A., Sharon (Daniel) Newbury of Sayre, P.A., Shirley (Jim) Spears of Sayre, P.A., Jerry (Kim) Carnrike of Waverly, N.Y., Jane (Joe) Sindoni of Waverly, N.Y; brothers-in-law Jon (Dorothy) Dribnack of Great Bend, P.A., and Tom (Lisa) Teeter of Athens, P.A., and sister-in-law Jean Lee of Sayre, P.A.; many nieces and nephews; special friends Pat Salak of Waymart, P.A., Lorraine Barten, of Sayre, P.A.; and many other special relatives, wonderful neighbors, and friends. She is also survived by her special Pug, Angel.
Her family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the members of Lourdes Hospice for their care and support during her illness, specifically Alice, Kaye, and Tricia, whom she thought very highly of and to Scott M. for his unwavering support and guidance over the many years. Also, a special "Thank You" to family, friends, and neighbors who so generously dropped off food and spent time with Cathy and her family during these difficult months.
Services will be private for the family at Cathy's request. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Cathy's name to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
