Donald Robert Weaver, M.D., 89, of Sayre, PA passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on May 6, 2019.  Don was born on March 7, 1930 in Mercer Pennsylvania graduating from Mercer High School in the class of 1948.  He continued his education at Allegheny College and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic. In 1966 he was hired by the laboratory at the Robert Packer Hospital where he served as Chief of Pathology until his retirement in 1991. After retiring, Don enjoyed woodworking, reading, and spending winters at their home in Abaco, Bahamas with his wife Jane.

Don was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Jane Sayre Weaver, his parents Mark Donald Weaver and Margaret McClees Weaver, and his sister, Lois H. Weaver.

Don is survived by his children: Cynthia Weaver of Ithaca, NY, Valerie Carocci (Jerome) of Burdett, NY, Amy Dinkelacker of Allentown, PA, Mark Weaver of State College, PA, and  Matthew Weaver (Lena) of Newcastle, ME; grandchildren: Jared and Jacob Carocci, Andrew  Dinkelacker (Kaitlyn), Laura Hoover (Monte), and Brian Dinkelacker, and Nathaniel  and Olivia Weaver; and great grandchild Max Dinkelacker.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
