Donna Jean Allen, a life long resident of Athens passed away suddenly Thursday, January 17th at the Robert Packer Hospital. Donna was born July 31, 1950 in Sayre the daughter of the late Mervin and Dorothy (Johnson) Palmer.
Donna married her best friend Edward Allen in 1996, he predeceased her after only a few months of marriage. She enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family and two grandchildren. Donna was very much looking forward to the arrival of her third grandchild.
Donna is survived by her sons Chris and his wife Rosemary Young of Athens, Jason Young and his girlfriend Jamie Cook of Towanda; Brother and sister-in-law David and Nancy Palmer of Litchfield; Brother-in-law Ron Reynolds of Litchfield; grandchildren Trenton Young of Athens and Alex Young of Towanda. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, Mervin and Dorothy, and husband Edward, Donna was predeceased by a sister Nina Reynolds, and an infant son Wayne Allen Young.

A memorial service and celebration of Donna's life will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Sayre, 221 N. Elmer Ave. Sayre, Pa. 18840 with Rev. Roland Romig, officiating. Those unable to attend the service and would like to share a memory or condolence may do so by visiting our website at www.tiogapointcremation.com Flowers will be provided by the family, however those who wish may consider a donation to the First Baptist Church of Sayre in loving memory of Donna. A graveside service will be held at the Tioga Point Cemetery at a later date.
