Doris L. Ward, 73, formally of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully at the Homestead Nursing Facility in Penn Yan, NY on October 24, 2013. She was born on August 19, 1940 in East Smithfield, PA the daughter of the late Manley E. and Beatrice J. (Park) Clark. On September 21, 1981 Doris married the love of her life, Ralph Ward. Together they filled their home with love and happiness. Doris was a member of the Big Pond United Methodist Church and longtime bus driver for T&T Bus Service out of Caton, NY.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Ward in 1994, Parents: Manley E. Clark (1982), Beatrice J. (Park) Clark (2007). Daughter Cynthia Strope (2009). Grand-daughter Cheyenne Strope (2011).

Doris is survived by her Son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Paula Sullivan of Dundee, NY. Brothers and Sisters: Maxine (Ted) Roy of Wellsboro, PA., Clyde (Phyllis) Clark of East Smithfield, PA., Vernon (Georgia) Clark of Elmira, NY., Rodney (Cathy) Clark of Hillsborough, NJ., Beverly Kellar of East Smithfield, PA., Cheryl Campbell Grimes of East Smithfield, PA.. Grandchildren: LaTrisha (Joshua) Gaboriault, Zacharia Sullivan, Alexander Sullivan, and Maria Strope. Many nieces, nephews and special friends.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place in the spring and will be announced at a future date.
