Edwin Keeler Brown III, 85, of Towanda, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital ICU, surrounded by his loving daughters.
Born May 5, 1940, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Ed was the son of the late Edwin and Kathaleen (Krause) Brown. He grew up on the family farm in Sugar Run, PA, and was the eldest of sixteen siblings. Ed attended school in Wyalusing before leaving early to serve his country in Vietnam aboard the USS Picking. After his service in the U.S. Navy, Ed returned home and worked for Ted Wanck and Alpine Cleaners for 18 years. He later retired as a machinist from Hoffman New Yorker. Above all else, Ed cherished his daughters and his lifelong passion for fishing. Known as "Fisherman Ed" throughout Bradford and Sullivan counties. He also enjoyed listening to his Elvis, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash records, and visiting local mom-and-pop restaurants.
Ed is survived by his children: Cindi Brown (Ray Theriot), Laura (Eric) Henley, Toni Brookens (Chad Teeter), Shamaine (Chris) Robare, and Ted Vanderkarr. Grandchildren: Lila-Maeve Brown-Theriot, Kieran-Cameron Brown-Theriot, Zander Henley, Molly Henley, Aiden Henley, Chantle Miller, Richard Robare, Christopher Robare and Cody Vanderkarr. Many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends also survive.
At Ed's request, all services will be open to the public with burial taking place at Bradford County Memorial Park, Luther Mills PA, December 29th, 2025, at 1100.
