With a heart full of cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Lou Jordan, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, on December 18, 2023. She was born in Sayre, PA, on February 6, 1940.
Gloria retired from Leprino Foods after working there for 20 years. She had an insatiable love for reading mystery novels, watching game shows, and indulging in Hallmark movies. She loved hearing about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren' life stories, and was always there to lend an ear whenever anyone needed her. Throughout her years, she had the opportunity to travel to many places by way of motorcycle with husband Kent and their Goldwing club (most notably her trip to Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous US) and was able to travel to Hawaii a few different times, she had the opportunity to travel to Florida several times and go to St. Thomas in Virgin Islands. She was an imperative staple in her family's life and will be sorely missed by all of those who knew and loved her
Gloria is survived by her loving children, Kevin Brown (Pearl) of Sayre, Tammy Winters of Port Charlotte Florida, Michele Licata (Joseph) of Sayre, Deborah Hankins (Bill) of Eugene Oregon, and Michele Pierce of Columbia Kentucky . Her legacy continues to thrive in her grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Kimberly Brown, Tonya Agnew, Aric Christensen, Christopher Christensen, Shannon Licata, Joseph Licata, Daulton Hankins, Alex Pierce, Dylan Pierce, and in her great-grandchildren, Kyle and Caleb Brown, Corbin Brown, Mason Robbins, and Erika Agnew. Gloria also leaves behind her sister-in-law Sue Port and brother-in-law Kevin(Lori) Jordan along with numerous nieces, nephews and her dear friends at the Sayre Assisted Living Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Sarah Snyder, her devoted husband Kent Jordan, her dear sister Lois Butters, her brothers-in-law Bill Butters, and David Port and her son-in-law Thomas Winters
In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Gloria's love, warmth, and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of Gloria's life and burial will be held in the summer of 2024 at the convenience of the family. Please join us in remembering Gloria by visiting her memorial page.
