of Troy went to rest in the peace of her Lord on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Towanda Memorial Skilled Nursing. Inez was born on February 23, 1925 in Owego, NY, the daughter of the late Henry and Olive (Campbell) Lurcock. Inez married John Taylor and together they raised three sons a step-son and grandson they also owned Taylor's Greenhouse until her retirement in 1972. She was a 65 year, charter member, of the VFW Post 1371 ladies auxiliary in Owego, NY, and volunteered many years to the Boy Scouts of America.
Inez was pre-deceased by her husband John and a step-son James.
Inez is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: John and Betsy (Nickel) Taylor of Horsham, Pa., Joseph and Etsuko Taylor of Troy Pa., Thomas Taylor of Glenside, Pa.; grandchildren: Michael and Hiroki. Sisters: Dorothy McClave, Alberta Hildebrand, Joyce Lurcock; Brother: Bill Lurcock. Great grandson: Michael Taylor. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.
A memorial service will be announced at a future date with burial to take place at the convenience of the family in Epiphany Cemetery, Sayre.
