John F. Westerfer, Sr. (Jack) formerly of Roxborough, Pa. died peacefully on January 17, 2009 at his mountain home in Millerton, Pa. surrounded by his loving family on his 80th birthday,. Jack was born, one of 9 childeren, on Janurary 17, 1929 the son of the late William and Dora (Bolton) Westerfer. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Gibson) Westerfer. John worked for years at Mrs. Pauls and Tastykakes as a equipment mechanic. His retirement years were spent at his mountain home hunting and fishing. Jack is survived by 13 children; Sallie Danishefsky (Joseph), Barbara Guntekust (Robert), Linda, Judy Badami (Charles), Jack Jr. (Pat), Deborah White (Ryan), Mark (Kay), Jay (Lynn), Robert (Susan), Thomas (Tammy), Glenn (Sherie), Blair (Jeanmarie), Bryan (AnnaMarie), and the late James. Also survived by 37 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one predeceased grandchild, Joseph. Jack is also survived by a sister, Dot Grispon
Memorial service and celebration of Jack's life will be held on Friday Januray 23 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Myk, 195 Green Ln Phila 19127 with Pastor Ron Matlock Officiating. Burial will take place on the family farm in Millerton Pa. at the covenience of the family.
