Leola W. Mosher, 90, of Waverly, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, November 8th, 2011 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Leola was born on July 21, 1921 in Windsor, NY to parents Jesse (Whiting) Dann and Judson Dann, who predeceased her in life. She worked many different jobs, however her most important job was caring and raising her 6 children.
Leola was predeceased by husbands: Wayne Robinson and more recently Charles Mosher. Two sons: Ralph "butch" Robinson and Danny Robinson. Two brothers: Jim Dann and Jerry Phelps. Two sisters: Edna Wormuth and Alma Novakoski. A granddaughter and two nieces
Leola is survived by four of her children: Jim (Joanne) Robinson, Judd (Sharon) Robinson, Lloyd "Mort" Robinson and a daughter Laurel "Lolly" Swanner………
Surrounding her in life were many special nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews, stepchildren and their families and the list goes on……..
She was a long time resident of Elizabeth Square Apartments and more recently Elderwood Nursing Facility, both of Waverly, NY.
In recent years she was cared for by her grandson Jimmy Winslow and also her great-niece Stephi Murphy and "Murph", until the time of her passing Leola spent many happy years with her roommate Erma and her special friend Alice, while under the care of a very "angelic" staff on the third floor at Elderwood. She was loved dearly by all who knew her and she loved in return…. We will miss you "Auntie Ha"….. she will especially be missed by her guardian angel…Elderwood Nursing Supervisor Shirlene Murphy.
A memorial service celebrating Leola's life will be held on Sunday November 20, 2011 at 3:00PM at the Chemung Christian Fellowship Church- 726 Main St - Chemung, NY, with Pastor Randy Stilson officiating. There will be a period of sharing of memories and a meal provided, immediately after the service.
