Lillian Shores, 96, of Ulster passed away on September 20, 2013 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1916 the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Jewell) LaBarre in Bumpville, PA. On September 13, 1941 she married her husband, Perl A. Shores at her family home in Bumpville. Beginning at age 11, Lillian religiously kept a diary of her and Perl's life. She was a member of the Hornbrook Methodist Church until its closing and supporter of Rome Methodist, Ulster Methodist and Bumpville Bible Churches. She was an avid Yankee fan and spent many hours watching the games and sharing with her group of ninety something Yankee fans. She loved flowers and tending her gardens. She, along with her husband enjoyed spending visits from their nieces, nephews and neighbors.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Perl A. Shores on January 17, 2013, brother Frank LaBarre and sister Elizabeth Shores.

Lillian is survived by her children Frances Brown and Boyd Shores. Grandchildren: Jennifer, Kathryn and Molly. Great grandchildren: Heather, Andrew and Magnus Perl. Many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00PM at the Rome United Methodist Church, 986 Main St Rome, PA., with Rev. Ronald Dyer officiating.
