Mary Ann Honora (McGinty) Shaw, died peacefully on March 11, 2025, of natural causes. She was born on April 3, 1944, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The daughter of the late William and Mary Francis McGinty.

She was industrious, holding many jobs in her life including beautician, licensed practical nurse, cook at a pre-school, bank clerk, and the role she most enjoyed as a homemaker. She took great pride in and loved her family. She loved to read, was a great cook, gardener, and kept a special place in her heart for her dogs.

She is predeceased by her mother and father Mary Frances McGinty and William B. McGinty, her first husband, Tony DeGondea, and second husband, Harvey Shaw, her son David DeGondea, her son-in-law Sean Amato, and her sister Patricia Daley.

She is survived by her daughters Michelle (DeGondea) Amato, of Gorham, ME, and Elsie (Shaw) Paxos of Rome, PA, her five grandchildren, Katherine Amato, Sean Amato, Peter Paxos, Bridgid Amato, and George Paxos, two great-children Sean and Eleanor, a brother Bill McGinty of Rome, PA, sister Kathleen Langley of Lakehurst NJ, nephew Chris Langley, and niece Mary Frances Daley-Ruhf, all of whom will miss her presence in their lives acutely.
