of Sayre, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009. May was a true Southern lady having been born and raised in the South. After graduating from Judson College, she met and married her husband, Ernest, in Washington, D.C. They had three children.
May was active as a Cub Scout, Brownie leader and Sunday School teacher, as well as serving on the PTA. She was a member of the Garden Department of Westfield, NJ and won many awards and recognition for her beautiful flower arrangements and gardens. She was a past matron of OES in Westfield, NJ.
May is survived by her son, Ernest III (wife Joyce), her daughter, Elsa (husband William Texas), and her younger daughter Elizabeth (B.A). Her family was the joy of her life and she had ten grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, and her grandson, David Weaver. May had many dear and cherished friends and a very treasured friend in William D. Burns.
