Myrtle L
Inman
February 25, 1932 – December 20, 2018
Myrtle L. Inman, 86, passed away at the Athens Health and Rehab Center on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Myrtle was born on February 25, 1932 a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (McKay) Wilston. Myrtle graduated from Troy High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart John E. Inman on August 18, 1950.
Myrtle followed her husband around the country as John served his country in the United States Air Force. In 1958, after John was discharged from the service they settled in the Wetonia area. Myrtle was a very busy woman and worked along side of her husband. They owned several farms during their life. Many school children remember Myrtle because she drove school bus for many years. She also worked at other jobs occasionally throughout her life.
After their last farm was sold they moved to Mud Creek Road in East Troy. Both Myrtle and John continued to drive school bus. They had a big garden where you could see them working hard weeding, watering and harvesting their beautiful vegetables. They sold and gave away a lot of produce.
Myrtle loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. She could shoot a gun with the best of them. She brought home plenty of venison to feed her growing family. You could see her and John on many a farm pond pulling in bullheads, bluegills and bass.
Myrtle loved all of her family. If you were there at meal time you better plan on staying to eat. Even if she hadn't planned on you being there she would whip up extra food in a hurry. You never left being hungry.
Myrtle is survived by her husband John. They just celebrated their 68 th wedding anniversary this August. John lives at Chemung View Apartments in Athens.
