of Gillett, PA. died at his home with his family by his side on January 1, 2010. Born October 3, 1922, the eldest son of Paul T. and Coral (Hancock) Kinsman in Elmira, NY. Paul graduated from Towanda High School in 1941, then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he participated in three initial landings in the two and a half years spent in the South Pacific Theater at Guadalcanal, Gloucester, and Paleliu. After Paul's service he continued his education in Ornamental Horticulture at SUNY - Farmingdale, Long Island, N.Y. graduating in 1949. In 1947 Paul married Agnes (Darmstadt) Kinsman; they jointly operated Kinsman Nurseries since 1952 for over 40 years in Ridgebury Twp. PA. Paul enjoyed playing sports, especially Ice Hockey and he participated in the NY Senior Games. He also played senior softball and volleyball. He also coached Twin Tiers Youth Hockey in the 1970's. Paul was pre-deceased by his wife Agnes in 1994, brothers Leo and Donald, and a sister Jean Dixon. Paul is survived by his daughter Karen Kinsman of Hopewell, N.J. and dear friend Alda Kiser of Troy. Brother, Harry Kinsman of North Fort Meyers, FL.; Sisters, Marsha Lehman of Denver, CO. and Lillian Harris of El Paso, TX. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. At Paul's request all services will be private.
