Raymond "Ray" Padgett, 78, of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007.

Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending races and being surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his son, Lynn Padgett of Frackville, Pa.; a special grandson, Steve Padgett; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and James Hart of Granville Summit, Pa., Tammy and Tom Westerfer of Columbia Cross Roads; five brothers and four sisters; and 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Caroline Padgett; a daughter, Carolyn Padgett; and his son, Raymond Padgett Jr.

Abiding with Ray's wishes there will be no memorial services.
