Rebecca “Becky” Apgar (Scrivener), passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13th.

Becky was born December 14, 1982 with a kind soul and a remarkably large heart. She was a woman who lived to help anyone in need and found her greatest joy in her family. Many of her happiest moments were spent sharing time with loved ones at the lake. An avid reader, Becky was also exceptionally skilled in the kitchen. Her family will forever cherish the memory of her famous baking and cooking, especially her beloved apple crisp, which was famously devoured almost as soon as it left the oven. Becky was a proud 2001 graduate of Athens Area High School.

She is survived by her husband, John Apgar; her five cherished children, Destini Scrivener, Sierrah Scrivener, Johnathyn Apgar, Maison Apgar, and Abygale Apgar; her loving mother, Debora Scrivener; her sisters, Jessica (Mark McCormick)and Melinda (Neal Brown); her brother, James (Brittany Scrivener); and a large, loving extended family of many nieces and nephews.

Becky was predeceased by her father, James Scrivener; her maternal grandmother, Arlene Ogden; her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Grace Scrivener; and several dear aunts and uncles.

To honor Becky's life and wishes, the family will hold a private service to remember and celebrate her legacy.
