IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Raymond
Morse Jr.
November 10, 1961 – January 12, 2024
Richard R. Morse Jr. (Rick} of Sayre, Pa passed peacefully on January 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and closest friends.
Rick loved life and enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and family. He always viewed life through rose-colored glasses, and always
tried to see the good in everyone, and in every situation.
Rick loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, landscaping, watching the wildlife, and just enjoying life. He was very interested in survival
techniques and learned all he could about survival and was eager to share his knowledge with everyone he knew.
Rick had many challenges in life, from a young age, but instead of letting it get him down, he grabbed life by the horns and strived to live
every moment to the fullest. He especially loved taking his son into the woods and introducing him to the wildlife and plants, and later teaching
him to hunt and fish, but especially to have respect for the land and all its inhabitants. Rick spent a lot of time landscaping and could often be
found in the yard, planting and digging. He loved spending time in the woods, exploring every nook and cranny, watching the deer and other wild
life go about their day, and was always on the lookout for the very elusive bigfoot.
Rick had many adventures on the Susquehanna River with his brother-in-law, both of which said they lost a massive northern pike, and at
Coweneque and Spring Lakes where he went boating and fishing, and watched the eagles and the osprey flying. He loved sharing stories of all
the fish that were caught, but especially the stories of the ones that got away. Cooked fresh fish over an open fire and listening to the owls and the
crickets were always a great end to the day's adventures.
Ricks zest and passion for life rubbed off on almost everyone he met. Once a person met him, they didn't forget him, and most became fast
friends with him. His ability to see the best in life and always keep a smile on his face despite the challenges he faced inspired others to try and
become more, to want more, to be better people, and to live the life you have been dealt to the best of your ability. Rick believed that life is a blessing,
no matter what and is now rejoicing with his lord and savior and has been reunited with his family and friends that passes before him.
Rick is survived by his children: Richard R. Morse IV of Gardner, Tx, Lakota Morse of Scranton, Pa, Kimberly Clark of Binghamton, NY,
