Obituary

Robert Lee Benjamin Jr. (Bobby) was born on March 17, 1977, in Sayre, Pennsylvania. On June 25, 2026, Bobby passed away at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by the people who loved him.

Bobby worked as a Journeyman with Local 112 Sheet Metal Workers at Southern Tier Custom Fab. He worked hard every day and took pride in what he did. He always wanted to make sure his family was taken care of.

More than anything, Bobby loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Brandy Benjamin; his daughters, Kiana (Nathan) Zimmer, Makayla (Tyler) Harbst, and Brittni Benjamin; and his sons, Bobby Benjamin and Carter Benjamin. He loved being a husband and dad and was always there for his family.

Being "Pops" was one of his favorite things. His grandchildren—Norah Zimmer, Spencer Zimmer, Kohen Harbst, and Reese Harbst—made him smile every day. He loved spending time with them and watching them grow.

He is also survived by his sister, Brenda Hutchins; his nephew, John Hutchins; and his mother-in-law, Mona Thompson.

Bobby was welcomed into heaven by his father, Robert Lee Benjamin Sr.; his stepmother, Karen Benjamin; his mother, Donna Benjamin; his sister, Tammy Benjamin; and Father in law, Carl Thompson.

Bobby will be remembered for how hard he worked, how much he loved his family, and the laughs and memories he shared with everyone who knew him. He had a big heart and will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sayre VFW, 932 W. Lockhart Street, Sayre, PA 18840. Family and friends are invited to come together, share stories, laugh, cry, and celebrate Bobby's life doing his favorite things, a cornhole tournament and karaoke.
