87, of Waverly, died Saturday, July 24 at Elderwood Health Care in Waverly after a period of declining health. She was a former resident of Forks Township, Sullivan County.

Born December 12, 1922 in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Estella Barber. She and Raymond Vough were married on June 1, 1963 by Rev. James MacKellar at the Waverly First Presbyterian Church.

Ruth was employed by the Robert Packer Hospital, Elmira Credit Bureau and the Tioga General Hospital.

She is survived by several step-children; her niece: Jane Barber of Frenchtown, NJ and two nephews: Dale Barber and Jeffrey Barber, both of Waverly; 7 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece and 1 great great nephew.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond H. Vough and her brothers Robert and Harry Barber.

A memorial service will be held Saturday August 7, 2010 at 10 AM at the Waverly First Presbyterian Church with her pastor, the Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel, officiating.
