Sharen (Shari) Kastning ( Doane), 79, of Waverly, NY passed away on August 15, 2022 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier in Endicott, NY.

Shari was deeply committed to her family, friends, and her faith, she was an active member of the Waverly, NY Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She would like to thank her family, spiritual family, & friends for a full and happy life!

She is survived by her siblings, Billie Knapp & Charles (Joanne) Doane; sisters-in-law, Caroline ( Charles) Santoro, & Geraldine Doane; children, Ernest ( Destra) Kastning, George Kastning, Cynthia ( Mark) Calhoun, & Erik Kastning; grandchildren, Alexanderia ( Charlie) Stebbins, Joshua ( Heather) Kastning, Ellie Kastning, Melissa Fleming, & Aaron Calhoun, great-grandchildren, Deeken Frost, Aiyanna Stebbins, Troy Stebbins, Vinton Stebbins, Karter Golden, Lincoln Kastning, Logan Calhoun & Octavia Calhoun; niece, Jennifer Rajtar, nephews, Richard Gehricke, Chris Doane, Tim ( Alison) Doane, Clayton Doane, & Jason Doane, great-nephews, great-niece, & cousins.

Shari was a loving individual. She cherished her family and friends. She was a talented artist. She could draw and paint beautifully using any medium. She utilized her talents, alongside her husband Clifford, to support their young family adorning ceramics that were then sold at Dillenbeck's Florist, in Johnson City, NY. That amazing talent meant she always had a gift to share with those she loved. The same was true of her crocheting, she enjoyed crocheting practical items and gifting them.

She was also very hospitable, wherever she lived her door was always open and a hearty "hello" & a hug were given to all who entered.
