Sharon M. (Tappan) Kovarik- 73
Sharon Kovarik of Waverly, NY was born on August 13, 1946 at Tioga General hospital in Waverly, NY to Marion (Gramlick) Tappan and Charles Tappan. She was promoted to glory on July 14 at home following a stroke. She departed this Earth with her son Todd (Tami) by her side.
Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Waverly high school. Sharon then went on to have various jobs, such as, a medical assistant at the Robert Packer Hospital, then, baker and counter help at Park Bakery. Sharon then decided to be a stay at home wife, mother and nana, all of which she was wonderful at.
On April 18, 1964, Sharon married the love of her life Joseph Kovarik. They were married at the North Waverly Chapel, where Sharon had attended worship her whole life. Sharon and Joe went on to spend 53 wonderful years together with Sharon being Joe's whole world and he affectionately called her his Fare-Fare. Sharon and Joe then had 2 boys who were their pride and joy.
Sharon was always welcoming and kind to all she ever met. If she could help in anyway she would. If you just needed a hug, she was glad to give one. Sitting and visiting was her favorite past time, she loved to talk but boy watch out! If she didn't agree with you, she could argue with the best of them. That's how she got her nickname- Sassy!
Sharon is predeceased in death by her parents, Marion and Charles, her husband and love of her life, Joseph, 3 brothers, Charles, Leo and Jim and her in-laws Joseph Sr and Elizabeth.

Those girls could do anything and Nana would stick up for them and say it was okay, they did no wrong in her eyes! Sharon is also survived by brothers Lee (Charlotte) of Waverly, NY.
