Soraya Ann Ford, 48, of Vetter Rd., passed away suddenly on May 7 , 2008 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. She was born on October 20, 1959 a daughter of Carol Susan (Britt) and the late John Stanley Ford. Soraya was a long time employee and currently employed as a Administrative Assistant for St. Joseph's Hospital where she received the annual St. Joe's Oppy Award in 2007. She had a great love for her family and held a special place in her heart for her cats. In addition to her mother Carol Ford of Sayre, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Karen Ford, Sayre. Her Aunts and Uncles: Audrey and John Stanko of Sayre; Bernice and Lyle Blauvelt of Ashland; Margaret Nader of Sayre; nieces Lynette and Tiffany, special friends Velma Miller of Sayre; and Nellie Bunn of Athens. Soraya was predeceased by her father John Ford in 1974 and her Aunt Mary R. Louty.
A time of remembering and celebration of Soraya's life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2 pm at the Saits Peter & Paul's Church, Elmira with Deacon George Welch and Sr. Marie Castagnaro, officiating. Following the services there will be a time of sharing and refreshments.
