Stephen Alden Black , 74, of Wyalusing,  Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at the Bradford County Manor on July 21 ^st 2021 with his daughter Christa Stewart at his bedside holding his hand.

Steve was born on August 27, 1946 in Syracuse NY a son of the late William and Barbara Black. He grew up in Ithaca New York and moved to Candor New York as a young man where he graduated from the Candor Central High School. He also lived in Johnson City, NY and for the past several years in Wyalusing PA to be near his daughter.

Steve is survived by his only Daughter Christa Heather Black Stewart, Son-in-law Daniel James Stewart Sr. of Wyalusing PA. Grandchildren: Daniel James Stewart Jr. of Edgewater, MD and Justine Nicole Stewart of Bristol, TN.  An older sister Barbara (Black) Reitt of Hampton, MA.

Steve worked for Olum's and Raymour & Flanigan Furniture Stores in Binghamton NY as a salesperson and buyer.  He often traveled to North and South Carolina for work.  He loved the water. He had a boat and enjoyed spending summers on Cayuga lake at his cottage.  He loved music making sure his daughter Christa took piano lessons. Music was always in the home they enjoyed vacations on Martha's Vineyard and summers on the ocean.  Steve was a loving caring supportive gentle father always proud of his daughter.  He was a sharp dresser, friendly, always had a smile and wave. Steve was a fun charming gentleman.

Per the request of the family a private family celebration of his life will take place in the future. Steve loved animals especially dogs.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bradford County Humane Society, PO BOX 174 Ulster, PA 18850, bradfordchs@cableracer.com
