of Chestnut St, Athens passed away at her home on September 26, 2009. Verna was born on March 31, 1936 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of the late James and Hilda (Ace) Smith. Verna married Herbert A. Morley Jr. in 1954 raising 7 children together. Family was very important to Verna dedicating her life to the care of her children.
Verna was predeceased by her husband Herbert A. Morley Jr. and a daughter Doris Morley.
Verna is survived by her children: Hilda Gardiner of Athens; Herbert A. Morley III of Milan, PA.; Donna and Tom Wilcox of Jacksonville FL.; Kirby and Karen Morley of Lompoc, CA.; Sally Morley of Chemung, NY.; Jo Ann and Don Carmichael of Hinesville, GA.; Brother James Smith of Athens, Sister Evelyn and Skip Smith of Milan; Half Sister Candy Hauryski and a half brother John Smith; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and many special friends also survive.
