William A. "Bill" Doane, 92, of Drybook Road, Waverly, NY, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011, at his home.
William was born on September 2, 1918 the son of the late John and Myrtie (Guild) Doane.
Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Irene (Grace) Doane; daughter Vicki (James) Kier of Waverly; grandchildren, Carrie (John) Barth of Fort Drum, NY; Chris Velardo of Boulder, CO; great-grandchildren, Cassie and Logan Barth of Fort Drum, NY; sisters Pauline Casey of Washington, IL and Virginia (Robert) Walker of Liverpool, NY.
A private burial will take place in the Chemung Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
